Salmon Bay Passive House with First Lamp Architecture

An innovative Passive House-certified single-family home in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle.

This home required a passive house-compliant HVAC design that would provide comfort across the home and dedicated pollution control in several hobby spaces.

We specified a two-zone ducted heat pump system to provide thermal comfort, while designing four separate balanced ventilation systems to meet the unique requirements of the client’s hobby activities, which include a wood shop and and #D printing maker space.
